Toyota Trueno AE86 : Kyosho and Tomy versions

The iconic Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86.. sometimes also called the Corolla Levin.... Featured on this post is the Tomy D1 Professional Drift Series (car with print), and the Kyosho Trueno (gray and black)....

Earlier post here in Sooo HotWheeelsss featured the D1 Grand Drift Series (APEX Drift team). Click this link to read the article about it.. or just browse the archives...

Some basic info about the Trueno that can be found in the wikipedia:

"The AE86 generation of the Toyota Corolla Levin and Toyota Sprinter Trueno is a small, lightweight coupe introduced by Toyota in 1983 as part of the fifth generation Toyota Corolla line-up. For the purpose of brevity, the insider-chassis code of "AE86" is used to describe the whole range. In classic Toyota code, the "A" represents the engine that came in the car (the 3A and 4A) and the E86 represents the 6th revision of the fifth generation (E80 series) of the E model which is the Corolla. The visual difference between the Levin and Trueno is that the former has fixed-headlights and the latter has retractable headlights. The export model name Corolla covers both variations. The AE86 (along with the lower spec 1,452 cubic centimetres (1.452 L) AE85 and 1587 cc SR5 versions) was rear wheel drive (unlike the front wheel drive CE80, EE80 and AE82 models), and is among the last rear-drive cars of its type, at a time when most passenger cars were being switched to front-drive. The AE86 was replaced in 1987 by the front wheel drive AE92 Corolla/Sprinter range. In Japan, the AE86 was also known as the Hachi-Roku, Japanese for "eight-six"."

DCPH May 20, 2006 Swapmeet

Last May 20, 2006, I attended my first ever DCPH swapmeet. It was held in Jollibee Pioneer Pasig... At first, I'm very hesitant to attend because I'm really not a "People" person, who can easily befriend anyone even thought it is their first time to meet. But since I closed some transactions with some of the members, I was forced to attend...

Initially, I thought that the venue will be a jollibee branch in the new Robinsons Pioneer Mall, since it is Jollibee Pioneer.... hehehehe.... I looked around and noticed that there's no jollibee in sight.... So I asked the guard and was puzzled to hear that there is no jollibee in the mall....

Knowing that I immediately contact some of the members..... Thanks to ToyWizard (that's his handle) cause he gave me the right venue place and he is so kind to call just to verify if I got it right... Also thanks for the Chrome Nissan Silvia...

To cut the story short, it was one heck of a ride for me... Arriving in the Pioneer center without a decent parking slot... hahahaha.... Anyways... the swapmeet is one nice experience for me... I learned that there are a lot of people that are into my hobby... So I'm not alone... hehehe, and there are a lot of members that are older than me.... heheheheh...

There are a lot of toys for sale there... And it is quite a bunch for my money... I just bought some since I already bought some in the DCPH website... Thanks to Tridagger for the 11 beautiful 2002 FE Hotwheels, 2 variants of HW Asphalt assault, and a fully stickered(wait is there ever a word like that in the dictionary??? hehe) tomica evo.. Also thanks to Blown69 for the yellow Realtoy Lancer Evo, to stharscream (I don't know if I spelled it right) for the Tomy Toyota Trueno Drift Car, to van007 for the HW Dropstar Nissan Skyline and a TL Nissan 240X, to theArchitect for the red loose HW muscle tone, and lastly to Alek for the plastic casing of my loose cars...

Anyways, I'll post some pictures of my new cars some other time.... Thanks for reading.....

Collection Item Focus #11: ERTL Fast and the Furious Corvette C5 Convertible

Traded this item to Efren of DCPH to a yellow RealToy Mitsubishi Lancer. Although the the realtoy car is not a good 1 to 1 correspondence to the ERTL Fast & d furious corvette, I still pursued to have the trade. Y? Because I love Lancers so much, and this corvette is larger than my usual cars...

DARN!!!! @##%^#^% what a reason!!!!!

This car has good body as well as machine details. The paint is in fact very shiny..... Can't believe I traded such a beauty..... hayyyyy....
